Recipe Ingredients: o pears o water o sugar Method: 1. Dice any number of ripe pears you wish and cover with water in a saucepan. 2. Bring to a boil stirring occasionally until pears are soft. 3. Take off heat and mash pears. 4. Place mashed pears into a cheesecloth lined sieve and suspend over a saucepan for 8 hours or overnight. 5. Wring cheesecloth to extract as much juice as possible. 6. Add 2/3 cup sugar for every 1 cup of pear juice and bring to a boil. 7. Reduce heat and simmer stirring occasionally until the mixture begins to thicken. 8. Remove from heat and let cool. 9.
