Marconi Cocktail

Recipe

Ingredients:

Cocktail

o 1 ½ ounces Boulard Calvados VSOP

o ½ ounce Lillet Rouge

o 1 dash Hella Orange bitters

Garnish

o orange twist

Method:

1. Stir cocktail ingredients

over ice in a mixing glass.

2. Strain into a cocktail glass.

3. Garnish with a twist of

orange.

Remarks:

The Marconi was created at the

bar in the Waldorf Astoria in

1903 to celebrate the first Trans-

Atlantic radio transmission.

That first conversation took

place between President

Theodore Roosevelt and King

Edward, the VII. Though there

is no record, the conversation

may have gone something like

this:

“Hi Eddie”.

“Hey Teddy”.

“Pretty cool. Right?”

“Yup.”
