    PH factor:  9.0 Recipe Ingredients: Cocktail o 2 ounces Finlandia vodka o ¾ ounce Lillet Blanc o 1 splash olive brine Garnish o olives Method: 1. Stir cocktail ingredients over ice in a mixing glass. 2. Strain into a martini glass. 3. Garnish with an odd number of olives greater than one. Remarks: Dirty- because of the olive brine. Blonde- because of the Lillet Blanc. Martini- because, well, it's a martini. We also tried it with Bombay Sapphire gin. That seemed to accentuate the saltiness of the brine, while vodka seemed to bring out the fruitiness of the olives. Your choice. Enjoy. . . .

    PH factor:  9.0 Recipe Ingredients: Cocktail o 2 ounces Grey Goose vodka o 1 ½ ounces Crème de Mûre o ¾ ounce St. Germain liqueur o ½ ounce fresh lemon juice Garnish o blackberry o lemon wheel Method: 1. Shake cocktail ingredients over ice. 2. Serve up in a chilled martini glass. 3. Garnish with a blackberry and lemon wheel. Remarks: A tasty “alternative” martini. Care should be taken with the St. Germain. Its elderflower flavor should embrace but not overpower the Crème de Mûre. . . .

    PH factor:  9.0 Recipe Ingredients: Cocktail       o 2 ounces 1800 Silver tequila o 1 splash Campari o ¾ ounce fresh lime juice o ¾ ounce agave nectar o 1 dash Angostura bitters or to taste Garnish o lime wedge Method: 1. Shake cocktail ingredients over ice. 2. Serve up in a cocktail glass. 3. Garnish with lime wedge. Remarks: Warning: The “High Plains Drifter” has been known to become habit forming. While you might be tempted to salt the rim of the glass, try one as is first. . . .

Remarks: We feature many cocktails that involve ginger beer so we have tested quite a few and few are as good as this one. . . .

    PH factor:  8.5 Recipe Ingredients: Cocktail o 2 ounces Chiru Junmai Ginjo sake o 3-4 ounces fresh orange juice o ¾ ounce grenadine Garnish o lemon wheel o Tillen Farms Merry Maraschino cherry Method: 1. Add sake to an ice-filled collins glass. 2. Top with orange juice. 3. Slowly add grenadine. 4. Garnish with lemon wheel and a cherry and let it settle. Remarks: The name and look of this cocktail are an exquisite match. Of course, the same can be said for the Tequila Sunrise. . . .

Shake cocktail ingredients over ice. 2. Serve up in a cocktail glass. 3. Garnish with grapefruit peel. Remarks: We've often said that it takes a lot to tame Campari in any cocktail. It may seem like we are ganging up on this poor liqueur. We're not. Honest. . . .

  • The Far East Side Cocktail

    PH factor:  9.0 Recipe Ingredients: Cocktail       o 3 Shiso leaves or a combination of mint and Thai basil leaves o 1 ounce 1800 Silver tequila o 2 ounces sake o ¾ ounce St. Germain liqueur o ½ ounce fresh lemon juice Garnish o Shiso or Thai basil and mint leaves Method: 1. Lightly muddle leaves in a cocktail shaker. 2. Add ice and remaining cocktail ingredients and shake to chill. 3. Serve up in a cocktail glass. 4. Garnish with additional leaves of your choice. Remarks: The flavor is decidedly herbal. . . .

Stir cocktail ingredients except bitters over ice in a mixing glass. 2. Serve up in a martini glass. 3. Float bitters on top. 4. Express rind over cocktail and discard. Remarks: Fasten your seatbelts. There is no ignoring the combination of Fernet~Branca and mole bitters. This cocktail will definitely get your attention. . . .

    PH factor:  9.0 Recipe Ingredients: Cocktail o 2 ounces Finlandia vodka o ½ ounce Crème de Mûre o ½ ounce Crème de Cassis o ½ ounce fresh lemon juice o ½ ounce Simple Syrup, see: Syrups etc. Garnish o blackberry Method: 1. Shake cocktail ingredients over ice. 2. Serve up in a chilled martini glass. 3. Garnish with blackberry. Remarks: Some would say this can't be a martini as it has no vermouth. Others would say it is because it’s in a martini glass. We say it is a delicious sweet and fruity cocktail. 'Nuff said. . . .

    PH factor:  8.5 Recipe Ingredients: Cocktail o 1 ½ ounces Amontillado sherry o 1 ½ ounces Plymouth Sloe Gin o 4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice o 2 tablespoons sugar o Fever-Tree Premium Club Soda Garnish o lemon peel Method: 1. Stir cocktail ingredients except soda over ice in a mixing glass. 2. Strain into an ice-filled highball glass. 3. Top with soda. 4. Garnish with a lemon peel. Remarks: As in trust me, you are going to enjoy this ‘Adults Only’ lemonade. . . .

    PH factor:  8.0 Recipe Ingredients: Cocktail o 2 ounces Finlandia vodka o 4 ounces cranberry juice o 1 ounce grapefruit juice o 1 dash Angostura bitters Garnish o lemon wheel Method: 1. Stir cocktail ingredients over ice in highball glass. 2. Garnish with lemon wheel. Remarks: The original Sea Breeze dates back to the 1920s. It was made with gin and grenadine. In the 1950s Ocean Spray started to market cranberry juice and in in the 1970s they sponsored the development of cocktails using cranberry juice. These included the updated Sea Breeze, Cape Codder, and the Bay Breeze. . . .

    PH factor:  9.0 Recipe Ingredients: Cocktail o 3 ounces Finlandia vodka o 1 teaspoon of ground coffee or espresso o 1 ounce coconut milk o ¾ ounce maple syrup Garnish o 3 coffee beans Method: 1. Combine vodka and coffee and let steep for several minutes. 2. Filter vodka through a paper filter into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. 3. Add remaining cocktail ingredients and shake vigorously. 4. Serve up in a martini glass. 5. Garnish with coffee beans. Remarks: Question of the day: Is this a caffeinated cocktail, or is it cocktail that tastes of coffee? . . .
