She’s No Gentleman Cocktail

Recipe

Ingredients:     

Cocktail  

o 1 ½ ounces Johnnie Walker

Black Label scotch

o ¾ ounce Chambord

o ½ ounce cream

o ¼ ounce Earl Grey Syrup

(see: Syrups etc.)

Garnish

o lemon twist

Method:

1. Shake cocktail ingredients

over ice.

2. Strain into a cocktail glass.

3. Express a lemon over glass

and discard.

Remarks:

The name comes from a 1933

film adaption of the Noel

Coward comedy “Design for

Living”. Two male friends find

they love the same woman, and

she loves them both. To protect

their friendship, the men agree

to a “No Sex Policy”. When she

is alone with one of them and

things are getting very close, he

tells her about this gentleman’s

agreement. Then she tells him

that she's no gentleman.
