Nuevo Old Fashioned Picante

Recipe

Ingredients:

Cocktail     

o 1 slice of Fresno pepper

o 1 dash Angostura bitters

o 2 teaspoons maple syrup

o 2 ounces 1800 Reposado

tequila

Garnish

o orange peel

o slice of Fresno pepper

Method:

1. Muddle pepper and bitters,

in a cocktail shaker.

2. Add ice and the remaining

cocktail ingredients and shake.

3. Strain into an ice-filled Old

Fashioned glass.

4. Garnish with orange peel

and pepper slice.

Remarks:

This is a cocktail that deserves

to be called unique. If Fresno

peppers are not available, try

Serrano chilis. They are closer

in both taste and Scoville units

to Fresno peppers than are the

more ubiquitous Jalapeños.
