Recipe
Ingredients:
Cocktail
o 2 ounces Flor de Caña Extra Seco rum

o ½ ounce grapefruit juice
o ½ ounce fresh lime juice
o ¼ ounce Simple Syrup
(see: Syrups etc.)

o lime wheel or wedge
Method:
1. Moisten the rim of a
cocktail glass with lime and
invert it into a shallow dish of
sugar to coat the rim of the
glass.
2. Shake cocktail ingredients
over ice or add ¾ cup of ice to
the cocktail ingredients and
blend for a frozen daiquiri.
3. Strain into the prepared
glass.
4. Garnish with lime wheel
or wedge.
Remarks:
This is what the Hemingway
Daiquiri is today. It is similar to
what was created in 1921 by
Constantino Ribailagua at the
El Floridita in Havana Cuba
for Ernest Hemingway. Rumor
is "Papa" didn’t like it. See our
Papa Doble Daiquiri for his
version. We made this one
frozen as frozen drinks are
also attributed to Constantino.
