Always Sniff the Cork Cocktail

Recipe

Ingredients:

Cocktail

o 1 ½ ounces Johnnie Walker

Blue Label scotch

o 1 ounce Ilegal mezcal

o ½ ounce Bénédictine D.O.M.

o 1 dash Peychaud’s bitters or

to taste

Garnish

o 1 thin apple slice

Method:

1. Stir cocktail ingredients over

ice in a mixing glass.

2. Strain into an ice-filled

Old Fashioned glass.

3. Garnish with a thin apple

slice.

Remarks:

This is very similar to the Good

Cork cocktail from the Mayahuel

Bar in the East Village. A peat

dried single malt scotch would

have a significant impact when

paired with the smokiness of the

mezcal.
