Tree Hugger Cocktail

PH factor: 8.5

Recipe

Ingredients:

Cocktail 

o 1 teaspoon grated ginger

o 2 ounces Woodford Reserve bourbon

o ¾ ounce sake

o 1 dash Simple Syrup

(see: Syrups etc.)

o ½ ounce fresh orange juice

o 1 ounce Fever-Tree Premium

Ginger Beer

Garnish

o orange peel

Method:

1. Muddle ginger in a cocktail

shaker.

2. Add ice and remaining

cocktail ingredients except

the soda and shake to chill.

3. Strain into an ice-filled

double Old Fashioned glass.

4. Top with ginger beer.

5. Garnish with orange peel.

Remarks:

As you might imagine, this

cocktail errs on the side of

ginger, but it is not a Mule. It

more closely resembles a Fizz

but it’s not quite one of those

either. Those of you who like

things that are hard to define

and that taste like ginger will

happily embrace one of these.
