When Ginger Gets Blue Cocktail

Recipe
Ingredients:
Cocktail
o 6 large wild blueberries or
2 bar spoons of blueberry jam
o 6 mint leaves
o ½ teaspoon grated ginger
o 1 ¼ ounce Finlandia vodka
o ¼ ounce Pernod Absinthe
Supérieure
o 3 teaspoons lemon juice
o 1 tablespoon Honey Syrup
(see: Syrups etc.)
o 1 dash of almond extract or
to taste
o 2 ounces Fever-Tree Premium
Ginger Beer
Garnish
o mint sprig
Method:
1. Muddle ginger and berries
or preserves with mint leaves in
a cocktail shaker.
2. Add ice and remaining
cocktail ingredients except soda
and shake to chill.
3. Fine strain into an ice-filled
Old Fashioned glass.
4. Top with ginger beer.
5. Garnish with a mint sprig.
Remarks:
When Ginger gets blue things
can get a little complicated. We
enjoyed it with both fruit and
preserves. So, fruit in season,
preserves when not.
